Safety: This product is widely used in external preparations. It has slow percutaneous absorption. It has local irritation and it is an anesthetic in high concentration. Long-term transdermal absorption of this product can cause heart and nervous system insufficiency, and topical application to infants can cause chemical burns. The product is easily absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is twice as toxic as ethanol, so it should not be taken orally.
