Appearance:
White or quasi-white crystalline or crystalline powder.
Soluble in methanol, ethanol or diethyl ether, soluble in hot water and slightly soluble in water.

Application:
*As a bacteriostatic preservative, widely used in oral, external preparations, cosmetics, food.etc, with a common concentration of about 0.1%-0.2%.
*It has antibacterial activity in the range of pH4-8, and is more destructive to mold and yeast than bacteria, and has stronger antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria than Gram-negative bacteria.
Incompatibility:
In the presence of nonionic surfactant such as Tween 80, the antibacterial activity of this product decreases significantly. The product is incompatible with strong acid, magnesium trisilicate, talcum powder, iron, bentonite, yellow gum, sodium alginate, volatile oil, sorbitol, atropine, etc.
Propylene glycol (10%) can improve the antibacterial activity of the product.
Safety:
The product has no mutagenicity, teratogenicity, carcinogenicity, almost no sensitization, and no significant photosensitization and phototoxicity.
Storage: Preserve in well-closed containers.
