Features:

Poloxamer 182 is an α-hydrogen-ω-hydroxypoly(ethylene oxide)-a-poly(propylene oxide)-b-poly(ethylene oxide) block copolymer with an average molecular weight of 1700 to 3200, where the polyoxyethylene segment accounts for 20% of the molecular weight. It is an oil-in-water emulsifier.

Applications:

Advantages:

■ Amphiphilic structure: The amphiphilic structure enables it to reduce surface tension at the oil-water interface, acting as an emulsifier and solubilizer.

■Temperature sensitivity: This property provides a unique advantage in preparing temperature-sensitive formulations, such as thermosensitive gels.
