Quality Standard: CP2020; USP43-NF38; EP9.0; BP2017
Application:
*As a bacteriostatic preservative, widely used in cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical preparations.
*It has antibacterial activity in a wide pH, has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties, and is the most effective in inhibiting yeast and mold.
Incompatibility:
In the presence of nonionic surfactants, it forms micelles and its antibacterial activity is significantly reduced. According to reports, plastic products can adsorb propylparaben, and the amount of adsorption depends on the type of plastic and solvent. Magnesium aluminum silicate, magnesium trisilicate, yellow iron oxide and ultramarine can also adsorb propylparaben, thereby reducing the anticorrosive effect. Propylparaben will change color when exposed to iron, and hydrolyze when exposed to weak alkali or strong acid.
Safety:
The product has no mutagenicity, teratogenicity, carcinogenicity, almost no sensitization, and no significant photosensitization and phototoxicity.
Storage: Preserve in well-closed containers.
